Amateur Radio
I am a licensed amateur radio operator in the United States (and any countries with reciprocal-operating privileges with the US). I took the Technician exam in 2018 and passed it the first time. My callsign is REDACTED. My license is valid until 2028. If you would like to contact me via amateur (ham) radio, I suggest the following channels of communication:
- The W6CX repeater on 147.060 MHz (2M band), situated on Mt. Diablo.
- The REDACTED BBS system on 145.090 MHz (2M band), situated on Mt. Umunhum.
- The WIN System of linked repeaters, situated all over the West coast of the United States. I normally connect to the WA7G repeater in this network (situated on the Napa Sugarloaf). However, since all of the WIN repeaters are linked, I’ll be able to hear you through any WIN System repeater.
I got into amateur radio (ham radio) to learn more about electronics, and to meet people from around the world. To learn more about electronics, I built my own dual-band antenna out of copper pipes. I have also heard fellow ham radio operators as far away as Mongolia, Hawai’i, and American Samoa.
My QRZ (a website that’s basically Facebook for ham radio operators) profile is located at REDACTED.
My grid square locator is REDACTED.
